What is the Valentine Run all about? The Valentine Run Race for Justice brings together community members, athletes, law professionals, families, and individuals in a friendly, yet competitive event. Race History 2012 marks the 9th Annual Valentine Run, a new
and improved event in the tradition of John McIntosh's Ol' Fun Runs begun
in 1976 that started and finished at McIntosh’s Sports Cottage.
Participants contributed between $.50 and $1.00 to support local
charities. Valentine Run participants still race on part of the Ol'
Fun Run course and still help make a difference in the lives of the
people that Legal Services of Northern California serves. Whether
you are new to the Valentine Run or a long-time supporter, we thank you
in advance for your participation!

How do I
register for the Valentine Run? Click here to Register Online. Download a mail-in registration form here. Register in person at Fleet Feet, Where is the Race? The Valentine Run takes place in Sacramento's beautiful Arden Park neighborhood. The Start/Finish line is located behind Macy's Country Club Plaza Mall on Butano Drive just off El Camino Avenue. When & where can
I pick up my race packet? Packet pick up is Friday, February 10, 2012 at
Fleet Feet, Are the kids
races timed? No. All of our young participants will receive a commemorative finishers medal. Can I run
with my child? Yes. Parents or guardians may run with their children in the 0-5 age bracket. Are
strollers allowed at the Valentine Run? Yes, but please start towards the back and left of the other runners/walkers and be cautious and courteous when out on the course. Please leave skateboards, scooters, and bikes at home for your safety and the safety of the other participants/spectators. Is childcare
available? Yes. Childcare is available from 8am – 10:30am outdoors. Youth volunteers are supervised by adults. $5.00 per child, payable in cash only. A signed medical/liability release waiver will be required. Sorry, no crawlers or children in diapers. Are dogs
allowed? Yes. Well behaved canine companions on short retractable leashes are welcome at the Valentine Run. Please clean up after your pet and bring plenty of water for your pooch. Do you offer
personal item storage? No. The Valentine Run and Legal Services of Northern California are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle. Where should
I park? Parking is mainly on-street, in residential areas so make sure to remember where you parked! Please follow Parking Attendant’s instructions if parking at Country Club Plaza Mall. What is the
timing system? Capital Road Race Management provides timing by Chrono-Track. Visit the timing van after the event or log on to www.lsncrun.info to check your time. What about
awards? Awards are given to each top boy and girl finisher in eachof the kids races. Awards are also given in the following age divisions for the 4mile timed event: 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, and so on up to age 70+. Awards are presented for the OVERALL and MASTERS category. Prizes are awarded to the Best Dressed Individual, Best Dressed Team, and Best Dressed Canine. NEW for 2012!! Attorneys are encouraged to participate in the “Fastest Attorney” competition. See the registration form for details. Is there
anything else I should know about? AMR ambulance service and CHP volunteers will be on site to ensure a fun, safe event for every one. Finish line photos are provided by Facchino Photography. Candid photos are provided by Kevin Graft Photography. Vendors, entertainment, refreshments, childcare, and an Awards Ceremony are all part of the Valentine Run festivities! Please join us!
