HOW TO REGISTER Register as an individual or as a member of a competitive team of two. We encourage all entrants to raise money by Raising Pledges. Once you have paid and have completed your registration, you can become a fundraiser by clicking on the "create your fundraising page" or you can add your fundraising team member by clicking on the "add a person" button at the bottom of the page. You could also go to the RAISE PLEDGES heading on the left hand navigation bar and go to either the "Individual Fundraising" link or the "Team Fundraising" link. These links are also listed under QUICK LINKS near the top of the page. Fundraising Teams are unlimited in size, and members of the team may be timed, untimed or a virtual runner. Go to Team Fundraising for more information on creating your team.

PACKET PICKUP All registered participants may pick up their race numbers and T-shirts at Fleet Feet (2311 J Street) on Friday, Feb. 8th, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can also pick up your packet on race day, come early!
BE A VIRTUAL RUNNER If you are unable to participate in the actual race but would like to help out, simply register as a virtual runner on the entry form and you will receive an official race T-shirt as our way of saying "thanks"! But don't stop there. You can also pledge yourself to keeping kids and families on track by fundraising, making you eligible for all Pledge Prizes.
START POSITION Timed runners should plan on starting at the front of the start line according to running time. People walking should line up at the back, and parents pushing a stroller should line up to the left at the back.
LOCATION & COURSE The race begins and ends at Fourth Power Fitness, on Butano and El Camino, behind Country Club Plaza. It’s a fast flat course that loops through one of Sacramento’s most beautiful neighborhoods. (One block East of Watt Ave.)

SAFETY NOTE If you are running with your dog, please limit your non-expandable leash to 3 feet long, pick up after your dogs, and bring water if needed. We request that you leave your roller blades, skateboards, and bicycles at home for the safety of all participants.
PARKING Overflow parking is available at two sites:
| On the southeast corner of Watt & El Camino at US Bank in the Country Club Plaza parking lot. |
| On the Northeat corner of Watt & El Camino in the shopping center with Country Club Lanes. |
DRIVING DIRECTIONS Take El Camino (East) off of Capital City Freeway. Then turn right on Butano. From Highway 50, exit on Watt Avenue North, turn right on El Camino and then right on Butano.
ENTERTAINMENT & EXTRAS
Clowns and a bounce house at the Expo area will provide fun for everyone. (Weather permitting)
FINISH LINE PHOTOS Be sure your bib # is visible as you cross the finish line & check our website our website after the race for photos taken by 
MASSAGE Treat yourself or your partner to a massage ($1/1minute) before and after the race.
CHILDCARE It’s outdoors. 8-10:30 a.m. Our student volunteers will be supervised by adults. Parents will need to sign a medical release on race day. No crawlers. No diapers. $5 each. Pay on race day.
T-SHIRTS The first 1,300 entrants are guaranteed a 2008 race t-shirt. There is no guarantee on race day.
AGE DIVISIONS 0 - 5 yrs, 6 - 9 yrs, 10-12 yrs, 16-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65, 70+
RACE TIMING Capital Road Race Management will provide ChampionChip timing. Race timing and scoring will be based on gun time. There will be no start mats. Please be advised that an unreturned chip will result in a $20 replacement fee.

COLLECTING PLEDGES Collect pledges from friends, family and co-workers to include along with your entry form and fee. Pledges can also be made by mailing in your pledges using our Pledge Form through March 1, 2008. Create your own personal web page and use our email center to collect online pledges. You can keep track of who's in the lead by checking out the Top 10 Fundraisers too. Go to Raising Pledges to build your personal page or to learn more.
SUBMITTING PLEDGE Pledges must be received online or by mail by midnight March 1, 2008. You can also drop them off on race day. You can collect pledges from friends, family and co-workers to include along with your entry form and fee.
BUILD A FUNDRAISING TEAM Running with a team is always more fun and so is pledging as a team. Set a team goal and compete with each other and other teams to see who can raise the most money. MATCHING GIFT PROGRAM Does your company have heart? Corporate matching gifts increase the impact of your personal contribution to Valentine Run 2008. Check with your company to find out about its matching gift policy. While you’re at it, ask your sponsors to do the same.
