In your Race for Justice you can make every heartfelt step count by asking friends,
family, co-workers and everyone else you know to sponsor your participation in Valentine Run 2011 either as an individual fundraiser or as part of a fundraising team.

Why Raise Pledges?
While it is not required that you raise pledges, fundraising has a significant impact on the overall success of this event further supporting LSNC’s ability to provide legal services and advocacy to those in need. Collecting pledges is quick and easy, and you can earn great pledge prizes! Please read on!

There are 3 ways you can help raise pledges. First, however, you must be registered for the run. Register Online

You can raise pledges as:

• an individual;
• a virtual runner; or
• a member of a fundraising team.

Create A Personalized Fundraising Page

Next you will create a personalized page that you can use to help facilitate requesting donations from friends, coworkers, and family members.  It provides the tools to:

• use our email templates;
  

• personalize our email system with text and photos;

• create your own personal email list;

• view and track all donations made on your behalf;

• and direct your online donors directly to your page to submit their pledge.

How to Collect Pledges
Now you're ready to collect pledges in one of 2 easy ways:

• Online Donations
• Mail-In Pledge Cards

You can accomplish both of these very easily by simply sending out emails via your fundraising page. We have provided you with email templates to use that include links to finding your fundraising page and to print pledge cards.

Online
Here are the simple steps your donor will take to pledge online.

• Go to www.lsnc.info and select Valentine Run
• Click on Zippie the Dog
• Select Pledge Online and locate your page using your last name or bib number
• Enter the pledge amount at the top of your page
• Click “Make Donation” -- That's it!

Mail-In Pledge Cards
We offer easy-to-use pledge cards for mail-in donations. All the instructions for use are provided on the pledge cards. To accurately credit donations made via Pledge Cards, either you or your donor must fill in the following information:

• your first and last name
• your bib number

Print Pledge Card

Once an online pledge is made or a pledge card sent is entered on your behalf, an acknowledgement will be sent to you and the donor will receive a charitable contribution receipt*. It can take up to 10 days to process a pledge that has been mailed in.

* If a donor fails to include an email address we will be unable to send a donation confirmation. Please call 916-551-2164 to request one by US mail.

* All pledges must be received by LSNC by  March 1st, 2011 to qualify for this year's pledge prizes.
